Eye Problems.

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’
Thunder Bay, ON

For the last 3-4 months I have been experiencing blindness in my left eye. When I turn my lights off and go on my iPod for maybe one hour or less, when I stop looking at my iPod I am totally blind in my left eye. I cannot see anything with it. It's all black. When I turn the lights on it slowly gets back to normal.
Has anyone experienced this type of blindness.

Maureen please have an eye check. My last check last week showed early sign of cataract forming, I was told it comes with age. The affected eye sees everything dimmer. She advised me to wear sunglasses in all daylight. The new tests show so much. She said she could see I was stressed! The sooner you get checked the sooner any required treatment can start. You are a treasured friend, please take care of yourself. I'm praying for you πŸ’—

I have cataracts on both eyes forming, and my vision is blurry, but not the total blackness that you described Moreen. I hope that you get a diagnosis soon. Take care.

@A MyFibroTeam Member From what I've read you should really see an Optometrist or Opthamologist. There are so many things it could be, some serious & some not so serious, like cataracts. Your symptoms could be a sign of another underlying medical problem, so please please get your eyes checked soon! God bless. β€πŸ™βš˜

I was told not to look at phone or computer screens without a back light on.
My right eye is my weakest, and the one that blurs complety sometimes.
If I do look at my mobile during the night in the dark, I wake with a headache from eyestrain. I turn a lamp on now.
