Runners?
Any fibro or spoonies out there that are also runners? I love the mental aspect of running but cant get past the pain of it. Just curious if anyone has found it a possible routine with fibro. If so, how did you get there?
I’ve been slowly working up to it. For me it is all about taking it slow and not overly fatiguing my muscles. I ran about a ¼ mile (over 1 mile of walking) and I was extra sore the first day. Today - day 3 I feel a lot better so I’ll probably try it again. Listen to your body and go super slow. I also use recovery formula and make sure I drink a lot of water, electrolytes, and take my vitamins.
Used to walk miles until about two years ago now I can't walk into town so running is out of the question for me so I say run if you can do it but watch out for the fatigue, good luck👍
Sorry no answer. I've never really been into running since childhood. If course now I can't even go for a walk or not enough to make a difference. Good luck 🤗
I used to run years ago and loved it. I had to stop when i developed plantar fasciitis which never completely went away. After that it has been one health problem after another so i gave up. I try to walk as much as i can. Hopefully someone who still runs can help :)
