Am I The Only One That Has A Heat Intolerance? Is It That Unusual?
Hello everyone! I am curious to know if any of you suffer from heat intolerance instead of having cold sensitivities and intolerance. I have been told that I am strange or out of the norm because I cannot handle being in the heat but I am not bothered by the cold much, unless my feet get cold lol.
Yes!! Totally me!! Some of my Dr say it can be because of type of pain... Like inflammation.
Not at all. That is a symptom of fibro.
I've had an intolerance to heat and cold for years.
Very hard for my body to regulate heat.
You can always put on more clothes in the cold. :-)
It's most likely to be a nerve sensitivity to the heat, or the changes in climate along with the heat like barometric changes. We have nerves just under the skin, and if the skin gets hot, those nerves are directly affected.. you might want to try gabapentin and see if it helps.
No, people with Fibro, CFS, Pots, etc. have sensitivities to extremes in temperature. I can not handle weather being too hot or too cold. A bit like Goldilocks, but now I understand the reason behind it. You are not alone.
Heat makes me feel worse my hands and feet start to ache
Dairy And IBS.
