Got an appointment next month at WCH for their Fibro Clinic which apparently is part of their Environmental Clinic so im not able to really find anything on their clinic for what they do infull or to expect from the assessment that they will be doing.

Im not looking for drug treatment, i am looking for options in treatment yes but also to get down to all thats going on rhat doesnt feel fbro related yet is getting lumped under fibro.

Yes I just got out of icu & almost died BC of muscle cramps on vacation that I thought were due to over doing it at the beach & Fibro, come to find out when I became paralyzed my potassium dropped critically low & if I’d waited much longer to call 911 I wouldn’t be alive, so no not everything can be lumped under Fibro & unfortunately I almost lost my life BC of this illness!!!

So glad it was a positive outcome. I agree it’s so easy to think everything is fibro related. I just saw my rheumatologist yesterday and was talking to her about my pain in the heart area that I assume is chondritis. She said that it was important to go to get it checked out a couple of times to ensure it is not heart related, when it occurs again.

@A MyFibroTeam Member I have the same pain in the same area(s). Every time I went to the doctor about it, my blood pressure was good. A "holter" monitor showed no heart issues. So, I bought a cheap blood pressure monitor that fits my wrist. When I have the pain, I take my blood pressure figuring that if the reading was high or showed an irregular heart beat I'd be at the emerg immediately. But, I have the pain and a regular/normal range reading. It's a good idea to go see a doctor and have the pain you're experiencing assessed but do consider getting a wrist blood pressure meter (I got mine from amazon). If the pain is not heart related, just taking your blood pressure will give you some reassurance and bring down your stress levels.
