Body Aches
What would anyone recommend for really achy all over body pain? I have used most over the counter creams and muscle relaxants.
My specialist prescribes me Lidocaine cream which helps for certain aches and pains.
@A MyFibroTeam Member I go for massages sometimes, They go so deep that the pain is worse. It does help me in the long run. I can't sit or stand for too long. It drives me crazy especially at night.
Relaxing, warm bath, meditation (train the brain to focus), progressive muscle relaxation (very interesting, how we may keep even our smallest muscles groups tense at all times! without ever being aware of it). Also, I have noticed when I get facial once in a while, the very gentle facial massage on the temple, around the eyes, back of neck, little bit of the shoulders and arm has a wonderful full body relaxation effect. I go rarely because it is expensive but I find it surprisingly helpful with whole body pain (for a little while makes me feel better overall). I must mention moderate exercise (tailored to your specific pain areas) is helpful too, gentle stretching.
I use something called activ-on. I got it at walmart on a recommendation from someone i used to work with. Does wonders for me. lately i have biofreeze only because it was given to me as a free sample. both work but i like the activ-on better. each lasts about 4 hours but its well worth it for the relief.
Have you tried Voltaren or Diclofanac(10X stronger than the Voltaren and comes from you Dr) ?
Magnesium oil works good just like Epsom salts and essential oils.
