I use to be on that chemical soup that Big Pharma pushes on us like drug dealers. I've gotten off the opioids, morphines and Fentanyl patch. I now use medical cannabis. I feel much better. Less fibro fog. More energy. Not addictive as I use it only as I need it now and because of my fixed income some times I go without for up to a month and do not have withdrawal symptoms or cravings. In most places CBD is legal if there is no THC in it. Since I never smoked before I chose to vaporize it. I'm thinking of switching to either oil drops or gel tabs as well as edibles. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Sounds like you do need to be diagnosed to find out if ADHD is what you really have if you haven't already done it. Didn't they used to give Ritalin for that? I would also change doctors if possible. You need to find one who is willing to listen, one who believes you and wants to help.

I agree with @A MyFibroTeam Member, benzo meds are just tranquilizers and are not meant to be taken as routine long-term medications. They are very addicting. There are antidepressants that will take care of anxiety, you just need the right ones. Need to see a psychiatrist that understands them.

Benzo medications are like opioid to get off of! Taper off or get professional help to get off of them! That is the best answer I can give you! I had a neighbor that had me drive her to drug treatment center in a hospital to get her off the medications! And the non benzo medications they switched her to die not get her high so she went bulimic to get high!

I think (based on your question) you need a doctor who helps you to take your control back over your body and helps to sort out/balance your medication regimen. It seems to me that you have been on several meds at the same time, one med countering the side effects of the other, without treating the source of your problems. Stimulants and depressants. I would be surprised if you wouldn't feel the way the way you describe it now.

Stimulants are meant to speed up the activities in the body by enhancing alertness, concentration and energy. Because of this, they’re often prescribed by doctors to treat conditions such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), narcolepsy and depression.
Depressants, on the other hand, work by “depressing” or slowing down the normal activity of the brain. Doctors typically prescribe depressants to relieve anxiety or sleep problems for patients. When taken exactly as prescribed, depressants can be effective treatments for lowering stress and anxiety levels.
