#1 Dreams Are Rare. #2 Sounds Strange I Know, But When Your Trying To Sleep And Your Eyes Are Closed Does Anyone Experience Seeing Flashes?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

For the first one does anyone else not dream? I had my first one in two years a week ago, kinda cool actually I dreamt about seeing a meteor shower, woke up to see on the newspaper that there was a meteor shower due that night, stayed up till half 4 in the morning watching it, it was magical. Strangely enough I didn't wish for my fibro to be gone.

For the second one, again I know it's strange but when my eyes are closed and I'm in bed trying to sleep I'm seeing flashes, as if someone is taking… read more

I experience flashes with closed eyes before sleep, bothers me too. Doctor says possible allergy (you can buy over the counter eye drop with antihistamine, follow direction on the bottle), dry eye (wetting eye drop), detaching retina (unlikely in your age and you would probably see flashing lights with open eyes too - of course you can see an eye doctor if you are concerned or have very bad vision). My flashes are caused by allergy (my only allergy symptom by the way are the flashing, no sneezing, no watery eyes, no itching, for me the antihistamine eye drop works Zaditor in the US.
I dream all the time, pretty tiring : ) to keep up with the stories, emotionally can be draining if negative or positive dreams can make me happy, I even eat in my dream if I go hungry to bed, I have them all. I am not taking any medication or supplement, occasional clonazepam when I have zapping, stabbing pain. Stops the zaps, electrical shock sensations.

I rarely dream, I put it down to my medication though as it is know to limit dreams. That is great that you managed to dream about the shower then watch it :)
I struggle with light changes with my eyes too, I am very light sensitive, and I believe I may have experienced what you are describing. Thought my partner or someone was taking pictures of me in my sleep lol. Happens rarely now, was more frequent when I was on old medications years back. Never had an explanation from any doctors, just another anomaly for me.
