Breast Pain

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi guys, do some of you suffer from breast pain and swollen milk glands?

I had an ultrasound done and they checked my armpit as well, as there's pain as well. On and off.

Im on a contraceptive as well... I was wondering if it couls be hormones which does not go well with this sickness maybe?

Sounds like it also could be Costochondritis I get breast pain and rib pain all the time it never goes away.

My husband cannot touch my breasts and it makes it even more difficult when I have to have a mammogram and ultrasound.

Best to get your Doctor to check for Sjogren's syndrome as well as Costochondritis.

Costochrondritis can be part of the symptoms of Fibromyalgia.
Hopefully you will find out what is causing the pain for yourself.

Unfortunately for myself personally nothing can be done and I have to put up with the breast and rib cage pain.

I get severe pain in my pectoralis muscles, breasts, armpits and rib cage from my fibro. It sucks. I hope you feel better.

I have breast pain often but I was told I have costochondritis. My ribs are constantly tender. I can touch anywhere on my ribs and they are tender. I’ve had X-rays -and breast ultrasound about 2 years ago. Nothing was found. Other than I have fibrocystic breasts. I would have tender arm pits or swollen nodes but once I stopped shaving everyday and changed razors it got better.

I have exactly same symptoms. I have days when I can't touch my body because I feel pain everywhere and it feels like bruises.

I have that problem. In my case it's because I have Sjogren's syndrome. I suggest you ask your physician to get you checked out for autoimmune disease.
Best wishes.
