I live in a rather small community and somewhat rural. Our state capital is about 45 miles East of here. That is where many of us have to go to find specialists. Unfortunately, that also means we cannot go alone. The fatigue/ pain sets in which helps the cognitive factors to rise their ugly heads. We have to look around. Ask professionals and others if they know of any Doctor who is good with Fibromyalgia. There may be a Fibromyalgia group or Chronic illness group near you where you can share and learn. I initially went to a rheumatologist for my arthritis and who diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia!. But I have been treated by a General Practioner for nearly 10 yrs now. I read articles and share them with her. Together we decide if I should try a new treatment. She is so supportive I almost look forward to going to my appointments. I hope you can find someone like her to help you get through this.
