Period Related Flares

Ladies, have you noticed you tend to get pretty bad flares before or during your periods? Right now I'm hurting really bad on my first day of mine so I was wondering if anybody else had this?

This could be due to fluid retention at this time of the month adding pressure to the muscles. I also think hormones play a part in the fluctuation of pain in some cases. Before I went through menopause I found I felt worse at this time. Even to this day I make sure I take Mega B and Magnesium for some relief, daily. πŸ˜‰

Yes! The week before my period and the week of used to be absolutely horrible, I would get one really good week a month. The week after my period I would feel fantastic for someone with fibromyalgia. Then the next week I’d start the cycle again. I recently had an IUD inserted and it has helped a lot.

Yes! Im having the worst flare I’ve had in a long time, and I can tell I’m also PMSing (periods super irregular because I have an IUD). The hot cheeks, unbearable pain when I’m in the car... so horrible. You’re definitely not alone on that.

I'm on birth control, so my period isn't all that bad but I have a really bad flare right now as well.

This is weird as I get shocking pain in my right ankle the week before my period and the first few days of it, plus when I'm ovulating!
It took me a while to figure out the pattern.
So for over half of every month I have this extra pain, as is i haven't enough already :(
Sorry for those who are suffering too.
