Has anyone tried myosfscial release or any other tension release techinique massages or acupuncture? What has been everyone’s experiences?

I get trigger point injections. My fibro dr does them he also has fibro. I asked about acupuncture he suggested I avoided it bc it often aggrivates the trigger points so I've headed the warning. The trigger point injection sites are sometimes sore after trigger point but the I get 3 to 4 weeks of relief in my neck and shoulders from trigger point injections. I really think trigger point is wonderful. I also get ketorolac with them which helps with stiffness in my joints.

I have been going to an acupuncture Dr for over a year now. I started because I was having severe vertigo and no one could fix it. I go weekly now and it helps me make it through the week. I schedule it the day after my heavy work day and it helps with my recovery. I also haven’t had a cold or flu in that year!

3 months of Accupuncture at least once a week enabled me to act like any other tourist walking down cobblestone streets with little pain.

Accupuncture didn't help much, but deep tissue massage does help. You need to find a massage therapist who can modify the pressure she uses based on how you are feeling that day though. If the therapist just goes all out can have negative effect. Cupping with silcone cups (much less harsh) helps me when incorporated into the massage. I do 90 minute sessions. 60 minutes just isn't enough time.
