Dr. Appt-out Of Town
just wondering how does anyone get to an out of town dr. appt. I am so exhausted that I am not able to get dressed. I am going to nap 2 or 3 days before appt. hoping that will get my energy back. dr. says that if the shots work then that is what you have to do.
the doctor gave me a strange look when i said I am way to exhausted to drive or go as a passenger.
I am going to get a hotel room. hoping that will help out. any one have suggestions.
All these comments show how much of our Independence we've lost. This is one of the effects chronic illness has on our mental health that Drs don't always consider. It's not easy being sick ALL the time...
I don’t like the taste of water so I add a licorice tea bag (mine are Stash tea brand). The licorice can make your bowels loose. I have never found the tea do that to me but... I used to put in lemon juice but I’ve found that, for me, it increases the “rubbing of my joints”.
Water!! If your joints feel they are rubbing together or you are prone to headaches, drink water!! It’s even good at helping regulate body temperature.
I found a service that drives one their appointments on Vancouver Island. i e-mailed them to get more info. They will come to my door and take me to the door of the clinic where I have my headache shots, out of town.
thank you all.
When I have an appointment OOT I DRIVE qne my hubby drives home. It is really tiring but I do my best to get there. I don't have any benefits to drive me to my appoints. So I am on my own. I only have 2 docs OOT and they only see me once eveery 3 months. I try not to have the apppointments in the same month. Right now I am doing phone visits which is working ok. All the best, blessings to all. Faye
