I am very sensitive to sound especially high pitched sound. My office at work is next to a big hardware store. Forklifts are running the whole day and big trucks drive by my window, so close that I can actually touch them. People shouting above the noice to each other... I know that it is in the line of their work, but listening to the noise all day long, is very tiring, also resulting in head aches. I do! Sometimes I tell my 11 yrs old son not to talk too loud because his voice would ring inside my ears 😣. I do noticed that when I do get noise sensitivity, stronger flare ups will follow. So its like a warning sign for me.

Yes! For me as well. When I notice an increase in sound and light sensitivity, I know I am on the verge of a flare.

Sensitivity to lights and sounds is very common with fibromyalgia. Bright lights and loud noises can lead directly to pain. They also trigger headaches, a common symptom of fibromyalgia. Other sensory triggers can affect people with fibromyalgia. These can include sensitivity to odours, foods or medicines, even changes in the weather.

Unfortunately you might have to consider looking for another Job or doing a Petition from all the Workers written to the Boss if they would consider putting on noise proofing along the wall which would help block out the Hardware Store, noise altogether.
