Has Anyone Else Had Problems Urinating?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

It seems like I have to go all the time now. And even after I've gone already it feels like I still have to go. It's like I can't fully empty my bladder and I also have a really weak stream. I have gone to the doctor a couple times about it. I was diagnosed with BV and have gone through three rounds of treatment. Not sure what to do from here out. Tried to make an appointment with my gynecologist, but she says I need to go back to the doctor again.

I have IC which is Interstitial Cystitis. It will cause you to go to the bathroom more frequent that the average person. I suggest you check with an urologist who can determine if you have this or not. But if nothing else might give you some answers.

IC is when the lining of your bladder is either damaged or just about missing. What we eat and drink really determines of any flare up. It took me years to get diagnosed. I went to see a specialist in Atlanta thinking I had endo. He determined I did not but suggested I might have IC. That is how I got diagnosed.

Perhaps your bladder has dropped? I have a mesh that gave my some structure to help me with some issues?

But I would go see a urologist if you still are needing answers.

Do you get burning, spasms or a feeling of rawness?

Before I make this post any longer check out the IC organization that is very helpful.

Can also possibly be cystitis. That would be another question for your doctor.

I have fibromyalgia and i have had urgency and frequency for years. I have to urinate every 1 hour. It effects my life. I was told it was interstitial cystitis. It can go along with fibromyalgia. Im going to a urologist but i dont think there is much hope with that diagnosis. If anyone knows how to treat interstitial cystitis, advice would be great.

That’s how I used to get if I had a bladder infection. Did dr check for bladder or kidney infection?
