Just Wanted To Know If People Were Having The Covid Vaccine As I’m Worried Of Any Side Effects With Having Fibromyalgia

I had the first vaccine last Friday. I was fearful of getting it too, but everything was fine. I haven’t had any reaction from it. My arm was a little painful for one day. My next appointment is Feb. 12, I’m praying that it goes as smooth as the first one. Im sensitive to a few medication and cold weather. I don’t take a lot of medication. I’ve experience some of the same symptoms, that is found in COVID 19 virus, with fibromyalgia. My opinion, I believe fibromyalgia is associated with a virus. I recall when the sickness first started 10 years ago, I had uncontrollable coughing, and I still have it today, I didn’t have an appetite, for a week, uncontrollable pain, fatigue, weakness, stiffness, and live with it everyday. Only difference, Fibromyalgia doesn’t cause death quickly, but sometimes I feel like will die. It is a very difficult position to be in. I think believing in God, the sciences, and faith is our best defense. I’m also hoping that the vaccine is a benefit for all fibromyalgia suffers. Take care, and be safe. The near future the vaccine will probably be mandatory....

I got the second dose of Moderna earlier today. I will not lie. I am flat out knocked on my ass miserable. The first dose wasnt too bad. I had a very very sore arm but only for about 2 days and some fatigue. That was it. This time is the total opposite. Fever of 99.5 (i normally run bwlow 98), chills so bad my body is convulsing, dizziness, nausea, restlessness, and PAIN. OMG the PAIN. Not only does my arm kill, but every muscle in my entire body feels like its on fire. Even my teeth hurt. Its now 4:30am here in the US and I have yet to get a single minute of sleep. I am just feverishly tossing and turning. Sickest ive felt in years. I truly do wonder if its due to having a more hightened immune response because of fibromyalgia. Still, i do not reget the decision to get the vaccine. If this is anything like what having covid is like, I'll take a day or two of shot side effects over a whole week+ of feeling like this.

I think having fibromyalgia puts me at risk if I don't get the vaccine. These vaccines do NOT have any of the live viruses!

I view these vaccines as more valuable than gold because they can save my life AND save me from more serious long term conditions caused by the virus.

I will get whatever vaccine I'm eligible for as soon as possible.

My only worry is having to wait until summer for that to happen, while the more contagious mutant strain is 70% more contagious.

You also by getting vaccinated, protect the people family friends workers around you.
