My pain is sudden and dibilitating. GAME OVER.
It creates a certain amount of anxiety when you can be taken out so quickly.

Members described experiencing fibromyalgia pain in widely different ways, with some reporting sudden, debilitating flares that feel like being ambushed or knocked down without warning, while others experience a slow creeping increase throughout the day that worsens with stress or weather changes. Several members shared helpful strategies including lumbar epidurals for sciatica relief, gabapentin for nerve pain, THC gummies and CBD oil for pain management, heating pads for muscle spasms, and learning to recognize early warning signs before pain escalates out of control. A recurring theme was the unpredictable nature of fibromyalgia, with many members experiencing both types of pain onset, feeling frustrated by the difficulty of explaining or understanding their own constantly shifting symptoms, and finding that pushing through tasks often backfires by triggering worse flares.

For me it varies. Mostly a slow increase but it's been known to as you say ambush me.
Loving hugs to you all

I have both. First thing in the morning I'm stiff and have neck and back pain, then it gets better. I've also had pain that hits hard and made me have to go to the hospital for. This is such a crazy disease.

@A MyFibroTeam Member Oh yes! I can be doing my dishes when all of a sudden my ribs will start hurting bad.
Never know when it's going to happen.
Also random foot or hip cramps. Just out of the blue.
Soft hugs

Boy, do I hear you. Nightly jumping and jerking is like being poked with a cattle prod. Very painful and relentless. I feel bruised and battered after a bad session.
What I found helps settle is a small dose of mirapex. It is a parkinson drug. Cannabis is a life saver.

My pain increases with cold weather. I also can have shooting sciatic down my right leg which burns aches and last all night long. Wake up to find it's gone on the right leg, but now I have pain in my left leg. I'm having a vidio conference with a neurologist, to talk about my pain, numbness and tingling in my hands.
