Members shared a wide range of strategies for managing muscle spasms associated with fibromyalgia, with the most frequently mentioned being high-dose magnesium supplements (including magnesium water and Epsom salt baths), heat therapy, stretching, and gentle movement like walking. Several members described relief from prescription muscle relaxers such as baclofen, tizanidine, cyclobenzaprine, and gabapentin, though many emphasized the need to find the right medication that doesn't cause excessive drowsiness or interact with other drugs. A recurring theme was the importance of combining multiple approaches, including potassium and calcium supplements, cold therapy, acupressure mats, physio dry needling injections, and listening to your body's signals to prevent flares from worsening.

I do sometimes. Extra magnesium. Almonds if you can eat nuts. Walnuts. Natural food sources are best and a good supplement.
And Epsom salts baths.

I take a muscle relaxer, tizanidine, magnesium and use a lidocaine spray to ease them. These are the only things that help.
