I read the other day that who ever makes these decisions, have decided that Xanax is not good for you and are recommending that patients stop using it.
I also received a letter from Medicare about using pain medication and that you should use alternative treatment.
Here is my question: Have any of you heard the same thing? What do they expect us to do?
I only take 1 mg of Xanax and I take Tramadol 3x a day. If they take those away, I will be in even more agony!
They dont understand what its like to be in severe pain. They think we're over exaggerating
I take Xanax twice a day and it has helped my nerve pain immensely. I know it is addicting and I've taken it for years, but it is the ONLY thing that has helped. I tried to tell people that I only take it for pain but they just look at me and think I am super anxious person. I do have anxiety with fibro but it really hasn't out that much at all. I wish they could be in our bodies for one day!
Colis, I forgot to tell you that you can get free discounts on your prescriptions through GoodRX. Paying out of pocket is still expensive, but discount prescription cards help some..
Medicare won’t precribe my Nucynta either. My doctor sends the prescription over and I pay out of pocket. It is very expensive but worth every penny for severe pain. Medicare thinks they are “helping” us but they are not!
