I have IBS and between constant poop and not being able to. I’ve got pain every where down there. I bought a hand held butt sprayer…forget the name lol. It helps though

Yes it happens rarely but it’s awful when it does. I have noticed it seems to happen to me at night if I have had an upset stomach that day… specifically ( diarrhea).

I get rectal spasms. I was diagnosed with proctalgia fugax. They are very painful. No cure as far as i know.

Never experienced it but read a fantastic book by a fibro sufferer who described that very thing. Can you imagine, they actually told her she need to crouch in a different position to do her duties in the ladies room?! Like thanks for the helpful advice doc. I forget if she was in med school or she was a journalist maybe? Anyhow, she suffered a very long time before getting a diagnosis (in addition to a couple others that go hand in hand with fibro.) She had to pursue and pursue until she found the right doctor but did eventually get the help she needed.
All that to say don't be embarrassed, don't give up hope. Keep asking for help. You'll find it.
