Facial Pain/sensitivity
Does anyone get pain in their face or are you sensitive to things like the cold air or a gentle breeze touching your face? I find these things send my nervous system crazy and cause mass pain through my face/head/neck
Wondering if it's Trigeminal neuralgia?
I have this all the time. Any type of air on my face causes me to get ear and sinus infections which causes me intense pain from my neck up and through my head. Last night it felt like my head had a small fire through it. I put Vicks Vaporub in my ears, on my forehead and the rest of my face, and neck. I also take Coricidin HPB Flu medication. I cannot take it 8 hours before bedtime or it interferes with my sleep medication. It is a rare few hours a week that I do not have this pain. I don't have to go outside. It can just be a slight change of temperature in a room. I have to eat most of my food at room temperature, not too hot and not too cold, or the same thing happens. I have never heard of Trigeminal neuralgia, but I will look it up as soon as I finish writing this. I really feel sad for you as this is miserable pain. My eyes will tear up from the severe pain. The ENT doctors cannot find anything wrong, and nothing touches it as far as any rx medication. I know the pain is certainly real and it lasts for days on end. Hugs and prayers. This disease is full of twists and turns that puzzle all the doctors.
I have an burning sensation on my face that is present pretty much all of the time. Getting cold can intensify it, but the cold intensifies all of my fibromyalgia symptoms.
@A MyFibroTeam Member thanks for your response and that link, both were very helpful. Thank you 💜

Hi, So sorry you have to experience this, as the pain can be really bad. Found this site online, but I guess you have already accessed it.

If you haven't seen your Dr regarding this already, I would advise making an appointment ASAP.
