I hope this makes it to those of you with itchy scalp. I started brewing lavender and rosemary tea from my herb garden. Lavender has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and analgesic properties. Rosemary has the same. I started using these last year and my head itching has reduced drastically. In addition, my hair is not falling out as fast as before...greatly improved, might I add. I'm growing my hair out again. I think it might actually be thickening it some, but hard to tell because my hair follicles are very small, very fine, very flyaway. But a word of warning, it makes my hair curly. I've always had straight hair, but it has become very wavy.
I brew 3 or 4 stems in a large pot of filtered water, bring to boil for 10 or 15 minutes, then let it cool for a minimum of 2 hours, but often I forget and it sits all day. Then I measure it out into the quantity of the plastic honey bottle I use, and freeze it. Then I thaw out the small portions when I start running out. It keeps fine in the fridge for several weeks. I love the cool water pouring over my hair after I wash and condition my hair. Then I leave the tea in and go about my usual hair process.
Oh yes my legs and hips hurt constantly, but my elbows have just started, it's a whole new pain, it wakens me in tears some nights. Oh yes my poor hair has become so thin, yes hair loss is my whole head. If I do a ponytail for a short time, it's not much bigger than a ponytail to a five year old hair. It's so thin :( oh my gosh yes my scalp that to is so painful it literally does feel like severe burn, I get tiny sores to as it gets to itching and hurts so bad, that I've dunked my head into sink full of ice water, because it felt like it was on fire!
I've been to countless dermatologist, and was even sent to a psychiatrist because one doctor thought I was mentally hallucinating and loosing my mind. Tried every shampoo and conditioner on store shelves and salons and medicated shampoos that literally told to sleep with a garbage bag over my head, and I said wth will that do? He said suffocate the problem! I said so you saying I have get death?? He said no all the bugs in your head do..I didn't have bugs he was just a A$$!? An I was a inconvenience for him.. so sorry to hear that you to deal with the scalp pain as well , but glad to hear someone else say that their feeling it to, so I know I'm not completely crazy! 😂
