I get palpitations too havre done for many years

Yes, my doctor said it's either Paroxysmal sinus tachycardia or POTS (I guess treatment isn't that different so he doesn't feel the need to have me do the additional diagnostics for POTS like a tilt table test). I get the most dizzy when I get up from laying down, which makes me think POTS is most likely (it's also common with fibromyalgia). My resting pulse just standing still has been up to 150 bpm, and I can get very dizzy and out of breath. I have blacked out a couple of times recently. I just started taking a new beta blocker and it seems like it is helping a bit (I first took propanalol, but it made my fatigue and depression horrendous by the end of the day and I had to stop taking it). I've been taking atenolol for a couple of days now and so far its side effects aren't nearly as bad and my pulse is more normal. Drinking Gatorade and increasing my salt intake helps a bit as well.

Sometimes. I’m the same, no heart issues found. But I do have a slight heart murmur my doctor is keeping an eye on. I just wait until the palpitations stop and breathe in and out a few times to make sure it’s really stopped and then it’s like nothing happened. If you are still getting them let your doctor know so they can check for anything else they may be causing it. And then it’s also on the record as still being an issue.
