I smell phantom smells, cigarette and burning. But there is never any. The craziest time I've smelt burning is when swimming and under water.

When I smell gas it's real. One time I smelled gas and called the gas company. They sent someone and it took ages to find it, but there was a tiny leak. He said I should work for them . Being unemployed i would have taken the job in a heartbeat.

I smell gasoline too.

I'd really like to know, too, I've been struggling with hallucinating various bad smells since I was a teenager. When it smells like a gas leak it's the worst, it scares me.
