Hyaluronic Acid Injections

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Fort Myers, FL

Talk to me about these injections. Do they work? For meniscus tears? I already received the cortisone injection and am waiting on insurance to approve the acid ones. Is this a waste of time?

No it's with Sports Medicine. Apparently, these injections were designed for degenerative arthritis and helping harden or restore the cushion in the joints, but I guess they use it for meniscus tears om hopes you don't have to get surgery. Fingers crossed it gets approved and then actually works. I don't want any more surgeries!

I think these injections are new! It will be interesting to see positive feedback from another team member if they have had this new intervention and if it helped! Sorry couldn’t help!
