Is it easy to get an infection if you have fibromyalgia?

No, I have never heard that. Have you visited any of the websites that explain fibromyalgia. It's good to read up on the syndrome to learn as much as possible. There's still some debate about what causes it, but the research they've done is fascinating. Go to my story and read the name of a publication that is listed on
Pubs.edu. It's almost like a history of FMS.

If you get sick easily then I would question your diet and digestive system. I'm a firm believer in vaccines and get a flu, pneumonia and covid shot every year. I haven't had a cold or infection since 2020. However, I still wear a mask. Not because of illnesses, but because I learned during covid that one particular N95 mask filters out most perfumes and fragrances. The side effect of wearing it in public is that colds are also being avoided. I used to catch every cold out there! And mine always turn into bronchitis, so this is a good habit for me! I don't care that people stare, but I dislike the rude comments from young men with zero manners.

Although numerous studies have shown that fibromyalgia is not an autoimmune disease (conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, whereby the body attacks healthy tissues), reliable research concurs that this condition does weaken your immune system by causing various abnormalities and irregularities.22 Jul 2021

No. All the research I have seen says fibro has nothing to do with your immune system. Add more fruit and veggies into your diet to feed your body.

I've read up on many Fibromyalgia books and pamphlets etc. and they've all said that a weakend immune system is one of the symptoms.

No. I have an overactive immune system. I've only had the flu twice , both times in the 60s. I also have a healed TB scar, discovered when I was 8. The downside is that my system thinks everything is an enemy causing many allergies and food sensitivities.
