Anyone else get tightness in chest feels like you can't breathe?I have to sit up

I use Vicks on my chest as I feel dry and stuffy to help me breath but just doesn’t seem to help though .
I have this often, I also have times when I struggle to take a regular breath without it hurting so I have to breathe shallow for a while. it is disturbing when it happens isn't it?
Lucy 10 it varies anywhere from 30 seconds to 45 seconds also I get a lot of chest cracking when stretching
