Fibro Fog

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Leighton Buzzard, UK

When I usually have fibro fog, it’s like only 2 brain cells have turned up and are staring at each other and saying “durr…”.

Today it feels like my brain has been in neutral all day. Is this fibro fog too and if so, does fibro fog come in any different shapes?

I think it does. Apathy is another form of it. Maybe it’s our central nervous system needing rest before it reboots 🤗💗

Fibro fog affects our short term memory mostly so like silly things like putting a saucepan in the fridge instead of cupboard. Walking into a room and forgetting what you went into room for. Usually happens when body is under more stress or lack of sleep.

I have said this to my family and explained what it is. It’s like they don’t even believe me. Like I am making it up. It makes me sad they don’t understand my pain.

I can get a little disoriented when I am super tired due to Seasonal Affective Disorder but that happens in the afternoon. Sorry you are experiencing this. Sending gentle hugs...
