Eating pineapple the week leading up to your period can lessen cramps. The bromelain in pineapple reduces inflammation and relaxes muscles.

I still have pain, but notice quite a difference and find what I do experience to be much more manageable.

All that being said, if you try it, stick to a serving size a day max. Pineapple can be irritating to the stomach if overdone. I know some can not eat pineapple at all due to existing stomach issues.

Ginger also reduces inflammation and prostaglandins, which is what triggers cramping.

I feel like Fibromyalgia just makes everything hurt a little more than before.

I hope that you get some relief. I am perimenopausal and taking some of the menopause supplements help me a lot.

Maybe you can try some supplements for periods and see if they help?

Just a thought. I hope your body lets you rest some.

Doctors prescribe NSAIDs for menstrual pain. Have you tried Aleve or Ibuprofen for your pain? Also there are other prescription NSAIDs I've heard that some women take Diclofenac tablets for severe menstrual pain. Maybe you can talk to your doctor about this.
