Anyone Have Good Advice For Dealing With Exhaustion?
Exhaustion causes me more trouble than the pain!
If it's helpful, here's what my new MD suggests:
1. Eat breakfast with protein within an hour of waking🌯
2. Get some daylight in your eyeballs in the morning, as early as possible (sets your circadian rhythm)☀️
3. Eat regular meals, have adequate protein for your needs, and stay away from sugar and ultra processed foods, refined grains, and alcohol. Caffeine can be a problem🍵
4. Drink more water, add electrolytes if needed depending on your needs🥥
5. Put into practice ways to feel hopeful, and at peace (rather than being stuck in fight/flight)🙏
6. Be connected to community however is right for you🤝
7. Get to bed at a reasonable hour, staying off screens and bright lights for as long as you can do so beforehand😴
8. Movement: exercise can be such a challenge but if you can even work on gentle movements from a seated position then you can build on that 🚶♀️
That's as best as I remember and any mistakes are my own. 😊
I hired a fibro coach who taught me about pacing, which helped a lot. I don't feel as exhausted. I got rid of a toxic person from my life, and my energy level drastically went up. This is the most progress I have made in 4.5 years.
I also take Vitamin D abd have it checked regularly
I was once getting tired easily and I was diagnosed with a vitamin D deficiency.
I have long had problems with sleep, but I am now able to get off to sleep easily, by not using phones or tablets within an hour of sleeping and thinking of something pleasurable while I’m waiting to drop off to sleep. The last took a long time to achieve, but I can now fall asleep within 5 minutes of putting my head down.
Thanks for everyone’s input…I love you all! If I ever find anything miraculous, I’ll share ASAP
