@A MyFibroTeam Member I was really low. Put on 50,000 IUs once a week for several months with a little increase. I am now on 5,000 IUs a day. I also try to get in the sun for 30-40 mins a day that is suppose to be the best way to increase your Vitamin D. I also realized that the pain was lessened since I took it. Vit D can cause a great deal of pain.

ToniEvans - My doctor, rheumatologist and I've read that Vit D deficiency is very common in people with fibro. It is worth getting your level tested.

@A MyFibroTeam Member -- It's interesting that your doctor says that. My rheumatologist says just the opposite. I wonder if that would make it a regional thing or something like that??

I take about 1700mg of vitamin D every day. When I was first diagnosed they tested my level and it was almost nonexistent. I haven't noticed any difference in it affecting my pain levels.
