Does Anyone Find That Their Hands Shake?
I find in trying to open envelopes, write letters, holding eating utensils, basically doing fine motor things that my hands will shake. Makes it hard to do things like painting and fine motor things that require detailed work. It is frustrating cause I feel like I don't have physical control over what I am doing.
Yes. I have shaking in my right hand and weakness too. I drop things often like cups, silverware, etc. The shaking definitely gets worse if I'm trying to do something using fine motor skills. I have found that wearing a wrist brace sometimes helps and I use a stress ball (the small ones that you squeeze) to keep the brain - muscle connection strong. Some days are better than others. I keep a list of things I would like to get done as well. On better days I do the tasks that require more physical activity, on the bad days I do the easier tasks. I have found that once I was able to be forgiving towards my body and myself, I have been able to ease some stress and find better balance physically and emotionally. The best advice I can give is to keep moving, especially when you hurt. Keep stretching, do yoga, breath and focus on relaxing your muscles. It's day by day. Hope some of this helps!
At times my hands tremor and someone else catches it for me but at times when the pain is excruciating I have a whole body tremor as if I have Parkinson's disease. It's really weird and awkward/embarassing to me.
I have also found that as well as shakes, my legs get hyper-sensitive and my feet get cramps. mostly my toes. Hurts just walking.
Yes my hands shake at times worse than others. On my bad days I am so clumsy!
That's some good advice, KellieLeali. I never thought of making the list or doing the exercises with the hand. Thanks for sharing!
