That's called allodynia. It's a centeralized pain sensitization syndrome. I've seen many with fibro have this symptom to varying degrees. Lyrica or gabapentin part of your meds??

Yes, b/c our skin has nerve endings that carry pain. Just like the pains we feel all over.

Absolutely mind boggling but it is real and when you tell someone they really think you just don't want to be touched!! Like who doesn't love to be touched but another awful affect. I pray someone comes up with cure soon so many people that could have full happy lives again!!!

Yes it happens a lot to me, more so in my hand,arm and upper legs. Just the other day I was leaving my parents house and as I exit the door my mom touch my arm (as she said bye) I literally screamed ducked down to move out the way. My skin felt as if every nerve ending was exposed. Raw. Burning. Hot. is how mine normally feels. Generally I onset vaguely for 2 days by day the 3 day its super sensitive but next day, I'm completely fine. Medication doesn't help me,so, my best method is communicating to my husband, child, parents and whom ever else that I'm sensitive to touch and not to touch me. This is so they know because looking at my arm you wouldn't think anything was wrong. So communication is key! :)
