Has Anyone Tried To Treat Their Fibro Naturally. No Meds, Alter Diet And Exercise Instead Of Just True As T
I do not take any medicine for my fibro. I take supplements (calcium, magnesium, black cohosh, fish oil, vitamin D), walk, use a starionary bike, and pool when I can, drink lots of water- no softdrinks, no milk, and only occasionally have alcohol. I try to eat whole foods that are minimally processed. I use essential oils for pain and to help me sleep. Also Epsom salt baths and heating pads- especially in the winter. Stretching helps me as well. I hope this is helpful!
I don't take any medicine at all. I take a rice powder vitamin called ultra inflam from first line therapy. I also do there 28 day liver detox every 3-4 months. Most days it helps a lot and it keeps the brain fog away. I still can over do it but it Does take most of the shocking, and migraines down to pretty minimal. I follow a strict diet also called blood type diet. There is a book on it called eating 4 your blood type, it's helped me a lot. I do massages every other week and the opposite weeks I have physical therapy. If I get bad I go to acupuncture as well. Good luck I hope you find something that works for you!
I just drink wine.
@A MyFibroTeam Member I can understand that. I took my medicine for several months after getting diagnosed but didn't feel it was very effective for me personally. It would be hard if the medicine was helping you a lot. And there is also no shame is taking medicine for fibro at all.
I take no meds. I don't eat gluten or dairy which has helped with my pain, fatigue and brain fog. Because of this, I eat lots of fruit/veg. I take magnesium, folic acid, calcium, vitamin d and omega 3 supplements. Can't say how effective they are individually but I think they have helped. I walk for about 10-15 minutes a day, sometimes more. I also see an osteopath which has made the biggest difference for me. Am waiting on CBT for my anxiety. They refused to give me medication, even though I didn't really want it anyway saying it would bring more side effects than it was worth. Hope this helps.x
