I Have Plantar Fasciitis That Hurts All Day And Now I Can Barely Walk. My Feet Turn Very Red, Does Anyone Else Suffer With This?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question ๐Ÿ’ญ

Plantar Fasciitis upon waking makes it very hard to walk. Now the pain is even after I set during the day. My feet turn very red when I stand for any amounts of time. I've been checked for diabetes, but am ok. My doctor said it takes months for Plantar Fasciitis excercises to help. I've tried to explain how painful this is, but he doesn't get it. I've bought orthotics, special shoes & slippers to wear all the time in addition to the exercise.

Members who experience plantar fasciitis that hurts all day and causes red feet shared a wide range of strategies that have brought them relief, with the most commonly mentioned being cortisone injections (though results vary in duration), custom orthotics fitted by a podiatrist, regular foot stretches and calf stretches throughout the day, and frozen water bottle foot rolls. Several members described eventually needing surgical release of the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon after suffering for years, reporting significant improvement despite a lengthy recovery period. A recurring theme was the importance of never going barefoot, wearing supportive shoes like Merrell or FitFlops, seeking professional help from a podiatrist or physical therapist, and being patient with treatment as healing can take months or even years.

I have had PT , they did stimuli. I had orthotics ,for in my shoes. Cortisone shots, they worked the best but not long enough. My pain used to be mostly when I got up in the morning. But the last five years it's all the time. I work mostly on cement floors on my feet for eight hours.

I was told to freeze bottles of water, then to roll one under each foot. It really helped!

Yes, I suffer from this as well...I have made a habit of exercising my feet when I am sitting or lying down, I still have pain but the exercises help loosen things up a bit. If you can find someone to give you a foot massage with warm oil, that might help somewhat.

Yes hi, I also suffer from plantar fasciitis and what had helped were the ๐Ÿ’‰ injections.

A good exercise to try is by sitting, raise one foot up, keeping heel on floor. Pull your big toe towards you. Hold for 20 sec. Repeat w/ other foot. Repeat 20 sec. exercise twice more on each foot. Repeat 3-5 times throughout day, especially, before bedtime.
