Does Anyone Have Endometriosis Along With Their Fibro & Cfs?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

If so, what treatment plan does your Dr recommend? I found out today I have Endo & the Dr wants to put me straight onto the Lupaneta Depot shot, which puts your body into Menopausal mode. I'm not sure this is safe for me, esp being the first treatment option. Please help!

I absolutely love love love the depo shot. I had endometriosis and seriously bad menstrual, balled up in pain . I suffered with cist often. I've been on the depo for many years, way before diagnosed with Fibromyalgia . This like anything can be different according to the individual. But from what I hear, having menstrual is awful with Fibro. I do not miss nor am I affective in any way by not having a menstrual cycle.
Hope this helps. Gentle hugs 💜

I still have all my "parts" and thank God.
I also had seriously awful periods, I cried I was in so much pain. The depo shot has been a heaven sent for me. No periods which means no endometriosis. Really don't think I would be strong enough to handle that on top of Fibro & Fatigue.
Praying for those that do.
Gentle hugs 💜

I had endometriosis my entire life. My mother had it as well. I think there is a hereditary factor to it. Luckily, I was able to hang in there long enough to go through menopause early in life naturally(47 years when I stopped menstruation ). Doctor wanted to do hysterectomy and I refused. Took prescription strength Aleve for it and lived with the heating pad for the duration.

How were you diagnosed? Surgery is the only way to do so. Lupron injections stop the symptoms temporarily, BUT WATCH OUT FOR SIDE EFFECTS! DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST!DDD

That's because any hormone changes cause pain, also your cycles change sides in the tubes every month. The changes cause problems with women who don't even have fibro. Fibro also causes inflamation in the body, muscles and lymph nodes, which essculates the cramps. Endro.. adhesions and a bad fallipion tube problem required a hysterectomy at 33.
