I see my GP from treatment, but since changing insurance companies I have had to see different doctors who don't understand my body as well.

He doesn't sound like a particularly supportive rheumatologist, they do vary, you could try looking for another one perhaps one some one else has recommended. As well as rheumatologists other specialists can be involved in our care and treatment. They include physiotherapists , specialists in pain management, occupational therapists, councelers and many more. It is not really good enough to just say to you go and do some exercise and loose weight as its not as easy as that for us , your rheumatologist shows a lack of understanding about Fibromyalgia and how it affects people. I had one like this before I was diagnosed ,I was not happy with her so asked my GP for a second opinion. The next one he sent me too was good .

I was told I didn't have it 3 years ago because of the pressure points not being to painful I didn't want to act like a baby so when the doc pressed them I didn't cry out. I didn't realise there were pressure points and the Dr was looking for a reaction If I stroke the pressure points now the pain is unbearable Especially my shoulders neck and chest.
