I do have trouble sleeping at times But now when I do get to sleep I sleep a long time . Last night I went to sleep at 12:00. When they woke me for meds at 5:00 I was in a stupor, at 9:00 still slow stupor, and at 4:00 they woke me up. It took a little while, but I came to life. I have been ok all day. This has happen before. I take a number of drugs for Fibro, Parkison, and depression. @KayLH- you may find a dosage keeper handy. You can find them in once, twice, three or four times a day compartments. It's the only way I can make sure to take the right med at the right time! It also prevents over- or under-dosing!

I'm on Hydromorphone Extended Release & take 1-2 additional regular strength (not extended release) every 4-6 hrs for break-through pain.
I've been on several different strengths of this medicine over the years, and if I forget I've already taken my AM 40mg ER tab & repeat the dose ~1 or 2 hours later, I'm a 'goner' for the day..sometimes longer.
It'll happen rarely, like when I'm highly stressed out & my fog is really, really bad whereas I can't even see through it.
Thank God I haven't done it but a couple of times... it's really sad when we have company over and my hubby will privately ask me if I've "taken too many pills"..my answer is usually I don't think so, but I'm not sure... I can't remember! Very scary too‼️
Did you have a recent change in dosage of your pain meds? I've found Sometimes when that happens with me, I'll have a very similar experience..
I hope my experience helps you.. You could also talk to your pharmacist about your reaction(s).. Maybe he/she can point you in a clearer direction + articles you can use as a resource.
If it continues to happen, Please, Please, PLEASE talk to your doctor ASAP.. And, maybe have your pharmacist look into all Mfg's he's dispensed to you for All of Your meds..
Maybe you're allergic to one Mfg's product but not a different Mfg'ers.. Once again, your Pharmacist should be able to track down the Mfg he's dispensed for each & every medicine he's provided to you, no matter what each Med is taken for.
Blessings & hugs for you... -Kay
