I took melatonin and it gave me horrible nightmares. As soon as I quit taking it, the nightmares went away

Alot of the sleep aud medicines cause dreams,talking in your sleep, and nightmares.

I have been on medicines since 2002 when I got diagnosed. But even before that, I had very dramatic, realistic nightmares

I don't have dreams and nightmares. I take Elavil and Neurontin at night.

Certain medications can cause nightmares. Amitriptyline is one of them. It is a good drug though for a lot of things. And quite a bit of the time that will go away after the first few days or week.
