Do Other Fibro Sufferers Also Suffer From Painful Feet & Fingers?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

My feet and fingers feel like there are hot needles being driven into them.
Also, there are times when my finger tips feel like they've been slashed but there's nothing there.
This feeling is similar to diabetic nerve pain.

I was diagnosed in June. I have been finding out that being deficient in certain vitamins can cause nerve symptoms and make fibro symptoms worse. I take a low dose of flexaril and gabapentin at night only. I was feeling better but I started to gain weight and my brain fog got worse. After finding out I might be deficient in potassium I went and got over the counter potassium with magnesium in the capsules. after a few days my meds started to work and my brain fog went away. I still have pain, but it is under control. talk to your doctor about testing to see if you are vitamin deficient.

Hi,

I know this feeling well. I have been treated for tumors in my feet (benign), along with my fibro. I am not diabetic but the neuropathy is the same.

I went a long time with my feet hurting me and never understood why. Several years ago I was diagnosed with Fibro. A year or two after that is when the tumors on my feet starting showing. I haIve always had a ring finger with a "buldge" to it but it wasn't until after the Fibro kicked in that things got a lot worse.

I have had the tumors removed since, but it seems like one thing or another goes wrong and the so called "nerve pain" acts up ten times worse.

Talk to your doctor about these pains you are feeling in your hand and feet. Don't take no for an answer because you are the only one that knows what really hurts.

I'm experiencing that as I type. Neuropathy is coming in many people that have Fibro. Rolling your feet over a frozen water bottle helps to slow down the nerve impulses.
