Does Fibromyalgia Effect Fertility?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi I'm just wondering if anyone knows if fibromyalgia effects fertility? My doctor said naproxen effects fertility so although it was a huge painful struggle I am off naproxen and have been trying for 5-6 months now well using ovulation tests and no luck. Thanks :)

I have always wondered this…got pregnant my first try with my first child and then had secondary infertility after this. We ended up adopting our second child. From what I've heard though, most women with fibro can get pregnant okay and have kids. Also, my fibro symptoms greatly improved during pregnancy which I guess is common. Good luck.

Yes. I had to do monthly inseminations and in vitro fertilizations. I was blessed with my son on my first in vitro attempt but was unable to get pregnant despite many other attempts.
