For People That Can Exercise, What Kind Of Exercises Do You Do?
I am on lyrica which is helping some, but I'm gaining weight. I can't be super active but would like some ideas of types of exercises I can do.
Try chair exercise. It helps maintain the weight. I have a CD by Jane Fonda that is real good.
I feel ya frankie..I cannot get myself to go anywher..i tried to walk aslittle thid summer but always paid for it..but i did hear yogo was good for it..but i could no way do them stretches..good for you frankie..leadt you try..i kinda gave up and it sure isnt a good thing..hugs
I take a water class for arthritis with my girlfriend, she had knee replacement this past summer. I can not do all the things but I do my best. On the days I do not get in the water I walk, most often I can only go for 10 mins before I have to rest, then I do that two more times (on a good day). I have done yoga for 30 years however I am down to just about 10 poses that I can do right now w/o paying for it later. Tai Chi they say is best for FM but I could not remember the moves (fibrofog) and my balance during the motion was bad. So and easy, if you can get in 30 mins a day, even if you have to spread it out in 10 min times....
As the others before me, low impact is best. Swimming exercises your entire body. In fact I'm looking for a fibro~friend to swim with.
Hope that this helps and hugs to you!
chair aerobics and chair yoga and also water jogging in the deep end of the pool
