I use a similar cream. I find it helpful along with my other meds. I think pain management is a combination thing. Each med, or cream, or whatever, may reduce your pain level a little, and when they are combined they can offer enough pain relief to help you get through the day. It doesn't work for everyone, as we are all so sensitive to meds. If a treatment doesn't work though, it's time to go back to your doctor and let them know. The bad news is that it often takes more than a few tries to see if different medications will work for you. It can be very frustrating. There are also options like lidocaine injections or infusions and Botox. Counselling can help with depression or anxiety which will reduce pain. The other option is to look into herbal and holistic methods of helping the illness. Diet, light exercise (therapeutic yoga and others), heat or ice, Vit B12, vit D, magnesium, turmeric, l- carnitine, and many more. The book of J Teitelbaum "From Fatigued to Fantastic" has many good suggestions. I really hope you find something that works well for you. The best advice I have is not to give up. Keep trying to build your toolbox and you will eventually find the tools that will help you the most.

Ask your doctor if you are a good candidate for Fentynal patches they can start low and increase if need be.

I have a cream mixture as well, it's got lidocaine, bupivacaine, and hydrocortisone in it. My sister also sent me a hemp cream (no THC) and that really helps.I also take Baclofen and Percocet for the bad days. Lyrica also really helped. Hope this helps! Feel free to contact me if you have questions!! My pain doctor has also approved me for medical marijuana. I just need to get permission from my Primary Care doc.

In South africa I have not heard of these meds. as there is no cure, they treat the symptoms. i have a list of about8 items. and this seem to work. some of the meds I have been using for 18 years and now we are tweaking again. I also bought the physio machine for the pain and it works.

I take tramadol with acetominophen. Its a capsule. I told my doc it didn't work. But he suggested I doubled the dose & it made all the difference in the world. I also take ibuprofen right along with it and the combination works pretty well for me. I was on low dose (4 mg) prednisone for about 6 months last year because i accidentally found out it worked on fibro pain when i was prescribed it for poison oak. It worked GREAT - at first. I felt practically NORMAL. But then my hair started falling out and it became less and less effective, so I stopped taking it. Be careful with prednisone because if you are on a higher dose, like 20 mg, you can't just stop taking it. It can be dangerous. I suspect everything eventually stops working & we'll just have to keep trying new solutions through trial & error.
