Had my blood results back today and doc said I am very anemic. Gave me more tablets and is sending me for more blood test to do a blood count. Was told new meds will make me very constipated so need advice as to what meds I need to get to help me eleveate constipation. Also what will a blood count tell me.

Hi. I answered earlier and suggested stool softeners. I did not suggest laxative. I personally would only use a laxative unless the softener, magnesium and I forgot to include flax. Doesn't work. I just sprinkle it on my food. It's organic and flakes. Also if you eat and then wait to take your pain med or iron if you are going to be taking that, it also helps. Lots of water. I normally don't drink coffee or other caffeine drinks at all, but perhaps 1 cup of hot coffee might also help. Your dr told you this would happen, did he not have any suggestions himself? I wish you the very best. I have the IBS that changes between constipation and Diarrhea. Mostly the constipation. And it's not fun. But you can keep your system working. :-)

Constipation is horrible, I'm not exaggerating! Miralax helps, taking daily stool softners. If this doesn't help try Senocot stimulant and softer you take daily. Lifeline is great softner. Docolax. I struggle with this per meds. If all fails Enemas are wonderful. Never strain! U can get Hemmoroids which never fully go away, no Doctor told me this, had to have them pop up.
