I would start up a whole new kind of Medical Insurance that would not fine people with previous illnesses and cover all alternative therapies that I have found out helped me. To include acupressure, acupuncture, massage, yoga and meditation therapy, physical therapy, aquarobics, health club memberships, dental, vision, chiropractic therapy all inclusive without co-payments. A all posts in one Medical Health Care payment.

I would open several retreats for just us so we could have somewhere to go just to get together with other sufferers and their families. These would promote understanding from within our own family groups . We'd have conferences to help families truly understand who and what we have become facing this disease.
They would have warm pools outdoors, hot tubs in the rooms, exercise rooms, meeting rooms, information sessions on the latest developments.
I would open a research facility on the grounds to study us and continue research at our meetings. Getting to know us as " people as opposed to a disease", putting a face to fibromyalgia.

Wow...first of all what a great question and great answers from the team.

Ditto to all - 1) research, 2) flexible work schedule whether one hour a day or more - just to give people hope meaning and purpose. 3) I would meet with people to assure disability and health insurance for those who financially need medical disability to survive financially and cover all health issues. 4) I would gather a research team world wide to work on a cure that is 100% natural and include all of the natural therapies which would be free to anyone with FM or MS. 5) I would make sure that housing and transportation is also available and that the housing was safe and all one level so that people can get around without added pain.

I will continue the research that I have been doing from the psychological impact - physical impact.

That is a brilliant answer. I would like dedicated FM facilities that give support and advice and where you can go and do tai ch or yoga with other fibro patients and where you can socialise and have a support network. Also where you can stay for a break from the daily routine and have someone help you get back some energy to start all over again.i would plot so much into research and have a team of scientists go using solely on FM, it's causes and how to help sufferers.

If I won the lottery I would buy a respite centre just for fibro/ME sufferers to come for a break, I would install a warm hydro pool and Jacuzzi and I would try to start up a charity to fund the running costs or maybe ask FMUK to support it, if it was successful then acquire another place in a different part of the country and so on so that everyone has access. Winning the lottery probably wouldn,t make me able to have a great life with the funds because the fibro is still there and I,ve yet to find a country that has a cure, so I would invest it wisely.
