Anyone With The Main Fibro Symptom Dizziness And Imbalance?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Superior, WI

I have extreme dizziness, imbalance and gait issues along with all the aches & pains, brain fog, tinnitus, twitching... Anyone else experience so much dizziness? I'm extremely sensitive to movement around me, light, smells and noise. But being so off kilter all the time is very difficult to deal with.

Yes I have the dizziness upon rising...sometimes really bad enough that I feel like my legs are going to buckle. I will be walking and misstepping...almost falling. Loss of balalnce is frightening as I can't deal with broken bones. I have a lot of ear pain but rarely any infections. My jaws also ache. I just try to deal with it and get up slowly but often forget...the brain fog!
I guess that I am another one for the "Dizzy Broad Club"...at least I fit in somewhere! Have a painfree day...Hugs...Nell

I'm dizzy most of the day, just stopped taking vertigo medication as it hasn't helped at all, waiting to see ENT to see what they say. GP thinks it could be related to my chronic migraine which is uncontrollable. Had a MRI of my head nothing wrong there, seeing ENT 3 weeks today to for vertigo, tinnitus, hearing loss and loss of smell.

Oh my gosh you just described me everyday. I get dizzy from sitting up, standing, moving at all sometimes, I have tendinitis in my hip and I'm very sensitive to a lot of stuff

I'm very good with sarcasm! ;) When I walk, (not in public, although I don't leave my house often), I use ski poles. They really give me a secure feeling and if it's a good day I can actually walk quite easily. A cane just didn't give me that assurance. Best of luck to you!

Balance is based in the ears so tinnitus will throw it off for sure because of pressure. I have tunnitus and Brian fog and then to boot my head was hit like a watermelon on a hundred year oak plank and I've had fluid on the back in my brain for years. It's been draining out of my ears for fun. My new doctor recommended a neurologist unstead of telling me to move more slow. I'm hoping Monday brings answers. otherwise if you have an ENT they might be able to confirm that it's just your fibro or if there is a problem with your ears.
