Hi Guys,

I would just like to know if any one else is using this combination and how.. dont know if im allowed to take them at the same time. Because the Escitalopram already makes me tired . I usually take them at night but now I have to take my tripilene at night.. Can I take them together??

I take my oxytocin at night with my aytripaline and I'm fine ya might just be a little sleepy for a while after you wake. I'd never drive while taking amytripaline.

If the same doctor gave you both prescriptions, PERSONALLY I would take them at night together. Escitalopram is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). It works by restoring the balance of serotonin, a natural substance in the brain, which helps to improve certain mood problems. Amitriptyline, which is what your tripilene is called in the United States, is a tricyclic antidepressant. BUT before you do that call your doctor and ask his opinion. He might want you to take them separately for a specific reason.

Thanx guys. Same doctor gave me prescription for both.. He said I could take the escitalopram anytime.. but it makes me sleepy.. so ive been taking it during the day..since getting the amitriptyline. But will take it at night and see what happens since the weekend is coming up.. grrrr hate the trial periods with these medications. But it for a good cause. 😊
