What Is The Most Effective Way You Have Found To Respond To People Who Downplay Fibromyalgia? (looking For Strong Yet Respectful Answers)
I don't argue/educate anymore... if we 'need' to prove, win, our side then we need to look at our own self esteem and ego needs. It's not about them not understanding, it's simply that they doubt we are telling our truth (whatever that is)... and that's a line for me now. If someone tells me they suffer debilitating headaches, I believe them.. it's not my issue if they are or not. I think we try to take responsibility away from others, and give our own away to them... My mother is 87 and after 20 years downplays it in her own British way.. I am ok with it now... she has to believe what she does for her own needs... nothing to do with me.. I just get on with my own life.
You don't know what it is to walk in my shoes until you put them on .,would love to switch places with you I would do it in a heart beat iget it all the time even doctors doubt is very fustraiting and depressing
