Has Anyone's Pain Been Triggered By The Temperature Of Your Bath/shower Water Or By The Shower Water
Pain by Bath or shower water touching skin.
When you are flaring touch by everything hurts. Even clothes can hurt. The water falling on you can feel like someone hitting you.
Yes, exhausted I have a new shower head with a mist to it. And this is much better.
The hot water feels good to my muscles. I can tolerate tepid temp but not cold.. it chills me. However if I take a hot shower and get dressed within 25 minutes I break out in a sweat from the hot shower. Used to never do this. My nervous system has drastically changed over the years thanks to Fibro!!
Yes, my shower water is tricky because it doesn't always heat up right away. There's been times that I'll get iin before it's hot and the cold water will cause immediate pain !! I once was an avid swimmer who didn't mind the cool water but now I'd cramp up and die if I dove in the water !!

I'm sorry you are experiencing this additional discomfort.
My answer would be no because I take a bath, adding more hot water as often as I like. The body wash I use as a bubble bath keeps the water soft. It feels smooth and soothing to my unsettled nerve endings.
Showers in my chair with a low flow helped a few years ago when I had a thigh injury. My preference is to be submerged, praying each time that I can push myself up and out.
Anything that hurts, I try to avoid or improve upon to make it more comfortable. I hope you find the answers you need, @A MyFibroTeam Member. This seems excruciating on top of all we suffer.
