I Don't Know What Is Going On. It's Scary.

Please someone help I'm so confused and a bit scared. I went to my Nans today and got a taxi home with my partner. Now the thing is when we were in the taxi I couldn't remember how I got in the taxi, I didn't know where we were despite my partner saying I used to drive that way all the time to visit home and to drop him home when we first got together
I got home and I played it down to my partner as much as possible but I really don't remember much. I remember certain things like when we got… read more

Aphasia isn't uncommon for anyone who has had a mini stroke or TBI but also it can be tied into a brain tumor and for some with Fibromyalgia. Depending on the cause of it it can be progressive or resolve in a short amount of time.

My daughters would tell me about things we discussed that I have no recollection of. They would walk away ticked at me, because I didn't remember what our discussion was about. They would call me crazy. Ten years later, finally talked to my fibro management, who reassured me that it was brain fog. Hate it! Am teaching an algebra class, and get confused about what I was teaching. My students call them brain farts! Just try to pick up from where I was, and if I can't, they would get a shortened math class. Hate it, but there's nothing I can do about it. Used to be proud of my brain. Now, it likes to play tricks on me, and am helpless. Hate this disease like crazy! You are not alone, nor are you going craz. This disease finds so many different ways. Now, have restless leg syndrome, which I've never had before. Hang in there sweetie, a s send you soft gentle hugs and positive healing energy. And above all, don't panic. It happens, and all we get for our panic is more anxiety!

This has happened to me many many times.
I had it checked out but nothing other than memory problems, most likely caused by fybromyaglia was found.

Fybromyalgia can cause cognitive impairments, including memory problems with working memory, episodic memory and semantic memory. This could also be the names of objects, things, people and even pets.

The travelling somewhere and not recalling how you got there or where you are has happened to me too many times to mention. It can be very scary. To me, when it has happened, it's been a feeling I'd describe as 'disorientation' and complete 'confusion' even 'panic'. I just don't remember the actions I took beforehand. Even though I knew I'd taken those actions. got in the car, arrived at destination.

When it happens to me it feels like everything was a blur....that it's all out of reach even though I try to remember it.

I'd not remember the drive, where we were going, what I was even doing. This in my case was all fibro-fog but would occur on a very bad fibro-fog day.

These events can happen with fybromyalgia and it has happened to me.

However, I must stress this, if this keeps happening, you should see your doctor just to have it checked to make sure that it is nothing else.

It's always important to have new symptoms checked. As there are tests that can be conducted to check that everything is okay and that nothing more serious is going on.

The most important thing to remember is not to panic.

I hope you feel a little better soon and I hope I've described my experiences in a way that they make sense to you.

Love and hugs

Rose xxxx

@A MyFibroTeam Member Smith - Anyone who has had Fibro for a number of years can tell you that - -we , at times, have all gone through what you have experienced.

Here are some of the things that Fibro can bring on:

Anxiety, brain fog, depression, dizziness, dry eyes, dry mouth, ear ringing, fatigue, headaches, IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), impaired memory, irritable bladder, joint pain, muscle pain, restless legs, skin rashes, sleeplessness, vision issues, widespread pain, weight gain, itching all over including the scalp.\

I have had that problem for quite some time. Yesterday, for an example, I have two pair of glasses. I keep the newest pair in front of a picture on the table of my parents. I looked all over the house and could not find the newest pair. They were right where I had left them last night in front of the picture of my parents. That is what I referred to as "IMPAIRED MEMORY."

HONEY---, THAT IS ALL PART OF THIS MONSTER DISEASE.

If you would feel better - -discuss it with your doctor..,

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Don't let the abundance of God's gifts cause you to forget the GIVER.
