I'm Out Of Lyrica (due To Miscommunications At Clinic) And Having Side Effects, Have You Stopped (not Weaned) Off Of Lyrica & What Happened?
I don't take Lyrica (Pregabalin) myself - I've a preference for Maxitram and Amitriptyline - but I would not even think about going "cold-turkey" from Any Long-term Pain or Antidepressant Meds.
Depending on your length of use and dosage, you may have built up a residual amount of the Drug in your body. This may lead you to think that 'quitting' is having NO effect, but as your body uses up the residue, then you may begin to suffer Side-effects as listed in the Patient Information leaflet that came in the box your Medication came in.
If this is "a mix-up" as you say, then ring the Doctor who gave you the original Prescription, explain the 'mix-up' and ask for a short-term prescription to cover your usual Lyrica dosage until you get the 'mix-up' resolved.
If you are unable to get another prescription, then go to your Local or Issuing Pharmacy. Speak to the Chemist (Pharmacologist) and ask their Advice as to What you may be able to buy OTC (Over The Counter) that will be sufficient to cover your time with the Lyrica.
I hope you get the help you need, and remember the Listed Side-effects are Only 1 possible response to not taking any kind of Medication. You may have No Effects or Symptoms at all. The Majority of People Never have Side-effects from an unforseen break !
(As of April 10th I have been subject to a Very Nasty Stomach "bug", which has meant NO MEDS until this evening - Let me tell you, I didn't even miss them while the Evil, Messy Wee Bugstard👹 was trying to kill me !!)
Best wishes, Kieran.
Nothing went cold turkey n onside effects
